under seas

Under seas,
I go swimming with you.
Dark and deep,
I remember gasping for breath with you.
In the water,
I felt myself drowning with you.

Your hand,
my hand,
we swam together.

Gasping,
swimming
drowning,
only to resurface and go back under one more time.

Your mouth,
my mouth,
words together as one.

The water is thrown over our heads,
holding us close together.
Your heart,
my heart,
perfectly in sync as we swim deeper together.

We find the bed,
soft.
Tangled,
we lay there together,
fighting for air.

So far down,
so far under,
we're miles away,
as we swim together under seas.
